Meaning: something is done; something has been done
How to use: Verb-てform + ある
Example sentences:
1. 机の上に本が置いてあるです。
Tsukue no ue ni hon ga oitearudesu.
There is a book on the table
2. ここに目標と評価基準がリスト・アップしてある。
koko ni mokuhyou to hyouka kijun ga risuto appu shite aru.
Here are the objectives and the criteria.
3. 起きてみると、もう朝食が作って会った
Okite miru to, mō chōshoku ga tsukutte atta
When I wake up, breakfast is ready
4. 冷蔵庫に果物が入れてある。
Reizōko ni kudamono ga irete aru.
There are fruits in the refrigerator.
Attention:
– Vて is a verb
– Vてある just a sentence pattern describing the state of things is like that, the speaker is just describing the state.
– Do not use Vてある to describe the state of large, difficult to move subjects such as buildings…
