How to use:
Verb-ないform + でほしい
Verb-てform + ほしい
Example sentences:
1. 両親には、いつまでも元気で長生きしてほしい。
ryōshin ni wa, itsu made mo genkide nagaiki shite hoshī.
I want my parents to live a long and healthy life.
2. 誕生日に、父に新しい服をあげてほしいです。
tanjōbi ni, chichi ni atarashī fuku o agete hoshīdesu.
For my birthday, I want my dad to give me new clothes
3. できれば、そんなことはやめてほしい。
dekireba, sonnna koto wa yamete hoshi.
I wish you would stop doing that.
4. 準備万端ととのえておいてほしい。
junbi bantan totonoete oite hoshii.
I want you to have everything ready.
5. 妹にはいつまでもきれいでいてほしい。
Imōto ni wa itsu made mo kireide ite hoshī.
I want my sister to be beautiful forever.
6. 自分の目で確かめてみてほしい。
jibun no me de tashikamete mite hoshii.
I need you to look for yourself.
