| 油をひく | あぶらをひく | abura o hiku | oil coated |
| しおこしょうする | shio koshō suru | sprinkle with salt and pepper | |
| 塩コショウする | shio koshō suru | sprinkle with salt and pepper | |
| 皮をむく | かわをむく | kawa wo muku | Peel; to peel |
| ふたをする | futa o suru | cover up | |
| お湯をわかす | おゆをわかす | oyu o wakasu | Boil water |
| ご飯を炊く | ごはんをたく | gohan o taku | cook rice |
| チンする | chin suru | to microwave; warm up food | |
| 火をつける | ひをつける | hi wo tsukeru | set fire |
| 火をとめる | ひをとめる | hi o tomeru | turn off the fire |
